Article Submission for My Client

I did an article...wrote it for a client to submit to an article directory. How I wished I could have submitted this article to Ezine.com under my own name! I like the way it came out.

I was given the main keyword -scrapbooking and the other second keywords were scrapbooking ideas and scrapbook.

I started it by writing slowly and getting my mind to focus on some creative ideas on how to go about it.

This is always a difficulty for me...how to get to write the first word, the first sentence; in fact it is a very irritating problem for me. I am trying to overcome this by always making myself believe that this is a job I am truly good at, no matter how I may feel.

There are days when I can write as soon as I see my asignments; and I just type away on my keyword. My mind works just as fast as I write straight on the computer.
Of course, this goes with the the prepared research I have done a few hours back before my creative juices got going.

I'm posting it in my blog so I can always read it when I want to.

How to Scrapbook Even without Pictures… submitted to sooperarticles.com

Scrapbooking without pictures can be a sad thing because you don’t have photos of lifetime memories you want to share with your family and friends. But then you can find scrapbooking ideas that would help solve this problem. If you are planning to make a heritage scrapbook of your family history, there are practical ways on how to do this.

Look for Important Documents

One of the best scrapbooking ideas you can do is to search for important documents that would link a story in your scrapbooking. Use original or copied documents of the older generations of your family such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, school records, military records, newspaper clippings, census records, old letters and other similar items.

For example, if you put the marriage certificate of your great grandmother on a page, you can make a small narrative based on the document like the date, time and place of the wedding. Spice up these wonderful sentiments by putting pretty embellishments like ribbons or other pretty items that reflect weddings. Use your creativity and make these documents look significant in your scrapbooking.

Look for Memorabilia

Scrapbooking ideas such as vintage jewelry, embroidery, medals, postcards, buttons, pins, old books and so on may still be kept by older family members. You can place these items on your scrapbooking. Scrapbooking ideas like taking pictures and scanning them on your computer is a good thing. Place these scanned photos on your pages and embellish them with beautiful and colorful borders to make them stand out. You can then write some notes to tell the story behind these memorabilia. Journaling is still one of the best scrapbooking ideas that offer solutions when pictures are unavailable.

Be resourceful

What if you don’t have any of these important items for your scrapbooking? Try to be more resourceful in using your scrapbooking ideas about this problem. You can ask your elders about their own memories of those times and make notes about them. You can use these notes to make a biography of the kind of life your great grandparents had during the early years. You can do a little research about the place where they lived or how people lived during those years and incorporate them into your family biography. Your biography would be more inspiring when you use some images or pictures sourced out from books which had the same years like those of your ancestors. If the ancestral house of your great grandparents is still there or at least you know where it is located, then take pictures of the place and include them in your narrative as well.

The idea of scrapbooking even without pictures is to use whatever valid information that conveys the history of your family. At this time, pictures may not be so important but the documents and memorabilia you placed on these scrapbook pages could still make family memories worth looking back to.

New York City: The Center of It All

The United States is proud of New York City as its largest state and even prouder to have it as one of the most popular cities in the world. Known as the “Big Apple”, anyone who travels to New York City would experience being in the center of it all since one has convenient access to media, fashion, food, recreation, art, culture, finance and trade.

Brief History of New York City

An Italian explorer named Giovanni Di Verrazzano was the first to discover New York City in 1524. He explored the new world and met with Native Americans. Later on, it was a Dutch traveler named Henry Hudson who introduced European trade and culture to the city. The next 20 years were considered booming years as more immigrants came to the city to find new life to practice culture and religious freedom.

It was around 1664 that the British took interest on the city which was already popularly known as New Amsterdam. They conquered the city and later renamed it New York in honor of James, Duke of York. In 1783, the British left the city after which six years later, George Washington was elected the first President of the United States. New York City was named as the capital of the country.

Must-See Local Destinations of New York City

You can take a ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty near a harbor in Lower Manhattan. Other sites to see in this side of the city are Wall Street which is the business hub of the city and the Federal Hall where George Washington was proclaimed as first president of the country. Close by is where the former Twin Towers were located or Ground Zero where a memorial site is soon to rise.

If you want to visit museums and see modern art and remnants of American history as well, then go to the Guggenheim Museum, American Museum of Natural History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art to name a few.

Tour the Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock Observation and the famous Empire State Building. Go on fun tours such as the NBC Studio Tour, movie tours and cruise tours to Ellis Island which conserves the site that shows how immigrants travelled to America centuries ago.

Visit famous landmarks such as the United Nations building, the Chrysler Building and the New York Public Library with its lion statues greeting you on its front steps. Visit the famous Grand Central Terminal to see how busy it actually is.
Visit Times Square which is the Theater District of the city where you can view LED signs ongoing 24 hours a day. Just a little further down north is Central Park where you can take leisurely walks and appreciate the greenery around you.

You won’t be sorry if you choose New York City as your first tourist spot. With all the upbeat energy you experience touring the city, you would find yourself asking for more.

Going Back Here...

Hi...

I haven't been here for a very long time. I somehow forgot that I have this blog.

Yeah, maybe just didn't think it was that important to keep up this kind of thing...

I've been busy with many writing projects that I just couldn't find the time to get back to this one.....

Now I have to do this because I have started to write for Ezine.com and I have 2 articles so far.

I have one pending and hopefully, it would be approved , too.

I have to be active on this blog so I can use this as a link whenever I have to submit an article to Ezine. If I have this as a link in my resource box, then readers would be able to read this blog..

Tha's the main idea... and hopefully, there would prospective employers who would read my articles here....

By the way, writing for Ezine is a good achievement.

If you are looking for a writing job, employers are likely going to hire you because you have posted articles on Ezine.

Ezine.com is in the top 50 lists of most read sites as per google ...so most readers search for articles that are mostly in Ezine.com.....

I am thankful that I was able to successfully post 2 articles on this site...this has given me the extra edge to be hired for good writing projects.

And mind you..it still does....that is why I will try hard to submit more articles to Ezine as long as I have the time to do so.

I am aiming for 10 articles so I can belong to their premium account..

Aw, it would take sometime, but I am confident I can do it..

Great...

A Five Star Treatment for My Business

I am a newbie in the business world and I am accepting the reality that I may need all the help I can get to make it successful. I would like to make reasonable profits that would help my business continue for as long as possible. My business caters to people who has everyday needs for their homes- cleaning materials, decors, lights and lamps and even pretty curtains. People normally come here to purchase some stuff and pay by using their credit cards. Now this is a payment option that I need to be careful about.

I heard about a credit processor company named five star payments which can handle this kind of thing. Their helpful staff were able to answer my inquiries about their line of expertise. I learned that they can help find me a good credit processor that would help me with credit card payments that my business accepts. Well, they did find me a good one.... and much to my surprise, I was charged a very reasonable fee for their services. I have saved a good amount of money because of this. I'm glad I got five star payments to help me along the way.

Now , I am looking forward to a boom to my business because I have accepted more credit cards payment options.....something that I have no worries about because I have found a reliable friend and life saver - five star payments ! Great savings and more profits ! Amazing !!

My First Driving Experience

I have always wanted to learn how to drive. My elder siblings took turns in learning some driving tips from each other before taking their driving tests. I remember them driving just within the small space in front of the house and practicing driving in and out of the garage.

Now that I have gotten my driver's license, my first driving experience alone by myself was both exciting and a bit unnerving. Driving through the small streets from our house going to the main highway was just a breeze for me since I've known this streets all my life.

However, driving to the exit route is another matter. This was where I often found myself a bit jittery. It took about 25 to 30 minutes of normal driving to where I would go to work. There would be many cars some days and a few cars in some other days. I just tell myself that it was good to see something else on the road other than cars.

I always make a mental note of highway signs I see along the road. To me, these are one of the best things that can be found in the highway while taking long drives. These are informative, as well as good reminders for drivers like me to take caution while driving. These signs also help in further gauging what is to be expected in the farther end of the highway which drivers don't see yet from their end. They help in fostering safety and smooth operations on the highway.

Driving back and forth everyday can be a bit tiring. That is why from my first driving experience till this day, I just appreciate the good things I see on the highway.
